Nearly every morning we work in the garden. Always Nearly every morning we work in the garden. Always early before it gets too hot. We harvest produce or flowers, weed, water, tend, or observe. The children usually stumble out sleepy eyed, sometimes with coffee in hand, ready to help with that day’s work. I often assign tasks to each person’s strengths, but know sometimes it’s best to have them do things out of their comfort zone. They visit and discuss all manner of things, help one another, and cheerfully do whatever I ask.
